Christmas 2012
J and I had a good Christmas season. We both learned a lot and grew closer together. It was our very first Christmas being married! A new experience for both of us. We both were so excited for the other to open what we had got for one another. J spoiled me once again! He takes such good care of me! I love getting things for j that he hasn't guessed or spoiled in some way or another. Especially when he loves it! Our tree turned out beautiful! Too bad there wasn't more snow though! :( I love snow on Christmas! Well, here's hoping you had a very Merry Christmas!

Thanksgiving 2012
I am almost as good at keeping up with a Blog as I am writing in my journal!.....
As for a little catch up-
J and I try to make it out to Colorado for Christmas but in the healthcare world, that's not always possible, including this year as I will be working Christmas morning. So we will stay home for Christmas instead of going home for Christmas. We are both bummed out for obvious reasons, BUT because Christmas will be out here with the Reeders, for the first time in 3 years, we went to Colorado for Thanksgiving. It was a BLAST! We got to carpool with 2 of my cousins which made the trip even more special. We had great driving weather there and back! Yay! When we first arrived we were greeted by a slew of running siblings, my Mom's homemade Broccoli Cheddar soup-aka-heaven! and little sister, C',s fresh baked snickerdoodles! The next day was Thanksgiving which was kicked off by J and the cousins and sisters playing in the community turkey bowl. The younger siblings and I stayed home to help decorate and set up for the feast! (which may have been the best TG feast to date) My dad made his secret recipe grilled turkey (along with baked turkey and baked ham) which is my FAVORITE ever! Each time J tries something new that he likes it becomes his "new favorite" so for that day the grilled turkey was J's favorite. We played games and had our own family turkey bowl which was so fun! Baby sister B would shout for the ball, then when she got it, would run around yelling "tackle me!" The boys taught her how to spike after her touchdowns. It was great! That night, of course, was the beginning of black friday. J stayed home with a headache, and the cousins, sister and I went out to do some shopping! It was really fun and really successful....until..... I locked my keys in the car. For those of you who do not know, "town" is a 30 minute drive from home. at 3 a.m. here we are needing to get into the car in the middle of black friday madness, and the keys had fallen out of my purse and onto the drivers seat. awesome. J, won the draw of who got called, however, although he answered, he did not wake all the way up. So upon hanging up he slipped right back into a deep sleep, leaving us to think our rescuer was on the way. a couple hours later, I finally called sister C (who had to get up for work in a couple hours) to wake up J. Finally we met up and made it home. Tired, but nonetheless another memory made! On Saturday we got to go through the Denver temple with my darling sister who is about to go on a mission to Australia!!! I can't even wrap my mind around that concept yet! But it was SUCH a beautiful experience! J and I both decided it was exactly what we needed! My parents shared with us that they look forward for the day when ALL of their children can join them going through the temple! At the Newitt house, great days don't end without great food, so we had HOMEMADE Cafe Rio! Soooo freakin good! :) Sunday was a great day at church, family time, and decorating for Christmas time. Monday J, the cousins and I headed out and back home! That was a ride to remember! On a bad note, J got sick and barfed the majority of the ride (sorry to those driving behind us.) but on a somewhat happy note, we all had a blast writing our own version to "Everybody Talks" by Neon trees. Joe being the inspiration. If you are interested-we have listening versions available. We had an amazing time and it's hard to get back into real life. But it's nice to have an income too I suppose :)

Hello All! Welcome the the Reeder's Digest! Hopefully you can digest what you will read on here, anyways! We figured that since we've got friends and family in high and low places, a Blog would be a good way to keep those who care to be updated, updated.
J and I are both going to school (yuck.) BUT! J will be done done done by the end of the upcoming summer and we are both SOOO ready! I'm proud of him as he continues to work hard and push through the last stretch. He will be a Public Relations Major. (any suggestions or help as to where to look/go for employment are most welcome!) He works full time as well. On top of all of that, we all know the work it takes to put up with me, and he does it so well! I am also going to school trying to knock out the rest of my nursing pre-reqs. I am working full time as well at a local hospital (and when I say local I mean 10 minutes away! vs the previous 1.5 HOUR commute.LOVE) At church, we both teach the 6-7 year olds in primary. We've got some ornery 6&7 years olds but we have really enjoyed the task. I think the kids are enjoying and learning as well. We are learning a lot, loving a lot, working a lot, studying a lot, and sleeping a little :) Life is good and we are very blessed!
